This Blog will follow my venture into Peritoneal Dialysis and living on the Michigan Organ Donor list waiting for a Kidney Match. I have had Renal Failure for over 30 years. I have a wonderful life, though not without challenges. I want my readers to gain insights about how to live a fulfilling life and maintain a positive outlook in all you do while living with a chronic illness. I hope to demystify the life of renal patients, plus have many laughs along the way….waiting for my match

Hi Bonnie - found your blog from a link on the New York times about kidney disease awareness month, which I forgot is in March. Want to extend my support and good wishes to you. I am a 3x kidney transplant recipient and have had my current (cadaver) transplant for going on 21 years. I was never on peritoneal, but was on hemodialysis each time beginning when I was 16...I'm 54. I believe writing about your experience is so therapeutic and will also help others through the process. You can read more about me at www.art2heal.blogspot.com, where I also have a chronic illness blog. Take care and thank you sharing your story. Vicky
